Staying in the House

Staying in the House

  • Smith Brothers Cleaning (603-431-5395) cleans and washes all linen after each stay. It is not necessary to strip beds when you arrive. However, at the end of your stay, you are requested to strip all used beds (please strip only sheets--not bedspreads or mattress covers; these will be dry cleaned) and place soiled linens and towels in the laundry receptacle provided in the laundry room.
  • The Town of Kittery has a recycling program that requires the separation of trash. A recycling bin is located on the entrance porch just as you enter the house. We would appreciate your cooperation in complying with the recycling program by placing your cans, glass, and trash in the appropriate barrel. Also, it's very important that you separately bag all trash containing perishables and shellfish remains and place them in the barrels in the garage.
  • During the summer months a grill will be provided for your use. The grill is to be cleaned after each use.
  • The table umbrella is to be removed from the table, folded and placed inside the garage.
  • Please lock all doors when leaving the house unattended.
  • Please check that all windows are closed when checking out.
  • Please do not activate the burglar and fire alarm systems during your stay; they are activated by the caretaker when the house is not rented.
  • Members of the Howells family, in the white house with the swimming pool, may occasionally use the tennis court.
