Cronkhite is located near the Radcliffe Institute for Advanced Study, Harvard Graduate School of Education, Harvard Kennedy School, and close to Harvard Square. It contains 110 residence hall units housing 121 occupants on two coed floors. The majority of available units are singles sharing common baths.

Cronkhite is Harvard University Housing's most cost-effective living option because residence hall units are less expensive than apartments and contracts run only for the academic year. Please note that a meal plan is mandatory for all Cronkhite residents.

If you are considering living in Cronkhite Graduate Center, please be aware that availability and contract start dates may be delayed due to uncertainty regarding this summer's renovation program. Typical Harvard University Housing

Residence hall living; common shared bathrooms; furniture provided.

Private apartments; private bathrooms; unfurnished and furnished units.

Contract is for the academic year. Contracts typically start in mid August and end on May 31.

Lease start dates vary and typically end on June 30; renewals typically begin July 1.

Mandatory meal plan* (see below for details) plus common shared kitchen on each floor.

No meal plan; kitchens in every apartment.

During the View and Select Window period, open to full-time Harvard GSAS, GSD, GSE, HDS, and HKS graduate degree candidates.

After the View and Select Window period, open to full-time degree candidates at all Harvard graduate schools (except Harvard Extension School).

At all times of the year, open to full-time Harvard graduate degree candiates and employees, along with their family members, if applicable.

Smoke-free; no pets permitted.

Smoke-free and smoking-permitted units; some pet-friendly units (restrictions apply).

*The Cronkhite Meal Plan is mandatory for all residents and is included in your housing contract payments. It includes 10 meals per week, Monday through Friday, except University holidays, winter and spring breaks, and the January term; click here for this year's operating schedule. In addition, well-equipped shared kitchens are available on the two residential floors, where residents can prepare snacks or meals.
